Using Nero for Burning a CD

Attention! If you use Nero to write data to a CD/DVD on this machine, all data previously saved on the CD/DVD will be overwritten and become unavailable. You will only be able to access the data that was saved during the latest Nero writing session.

1) Please click on the 'Nero-Burning Rom' shortcut located in the Start Menu.

2) Nero Burning Rom will come up. Please click the 'New' button, as shown below:

3) A window, similar to the one shown below, will appear:

The above window has 4 columns, where columns 1 and 2 (located under 'ISO1') display the structure of your CD compilation, while column 3 and 4 (located under 'File Browser') display the file structure of the computer. Please use column 3 to navigate to the drives and folders that contain the files you wish to burn to a CD. Column 4 will contain the files located in the folder selected in column 3. You can drag any folder from column 3 or any file(s) from column 4 to column 2. In the example below, I navigated to the desktop and dragged the file named 'burn_to_cd.txt' from column 4 to column 2:

You can proceed to the next step after you drag all the files you want to burn to the current compilation: in this case, we have chosen to burn only one file - burn_to_cd.txt (column 3).

4) Press the button that is encircled in the picture below:

5) Press the 'Burn' button in the next window:

6) For some time, you will be seeing a window that will notify you about the progress of the network transfer of your compilation:

7) After the network transfer is completed, a dialog window will pop up. Please OK this window.

8) When the burn process is finished, you will get a notification window and your CD will be ejected automatically. At this point, please note that you will NOT be able to add any more data to this CD.
