EID:
You must be a UT Austin student, faculty or staff member, or be otherwise affiliated with UT Austin in order to have a UT EID.

Your UT EID is an electronic identifier that will allow you to use secure services which require you to identify yourself (for example, UTejas or the group ticket draw). These services are part of UT Austin's Campus Information available on
the World Wide Web. A UT EID is not necessary to use publicly available information (such as the UTNetCAT library catalog).

Electronic Book or E-book:
Books that are accessible full text online through the World Wide Web.  UTNetCAT includes links to a number of electronic books available to UT Austin users.

Electronic Journal or E-journal:
The computerized form of a serial publication usually distributed over the Internet. An electronic journal or e-journal may have a traditional paper counterpart or may have been previously published in a print format. UTNetCAT includes links to many of the electronic books available to UT Austin users.
