Conference proceedings can be difficult to locate; they can be published as books, journal articles, abstracts or not at all.

You can try searching in

  • WorldCat, the Library Catalog, the following subject specific databases,

  • Print indexes

    • Index to scientific and technical proceedings.
      Engineering Library Q 1 I5349 1978 JAN-JUN through 1993 V.5

    • Directory of published proceedings. Series SEMT:Science/engineering/medicine/technology.

General search tips for the Catalog and WorldCat:

    • use the advanced/keyword search screen include the year of the conference include the the city in which the conference took place
    • use keywords from the conference name NOT the article title)
