The University of Texas has entered into a mass–digitization agreement with Google, Inc., of Mountain View, California, to participate in the Google Books Library Project. In the course of the multi-year agreement, Google will digitize at least one million volumes from the University of Texas Libraries’ collections, working from selection lists prepared by the Libraries.

The project is still at an early stage and over the coming months, University of Texas Libraries and Google Inc. staff will work together to define in detail the different components of the project. For additional information, please consult the following resources.
