Who may request retrieval?
All borrowers with current checkout privileges may request Fine Arts Library AV materials be brought to any Libraries checkout desk for pickup.
What may be requested?
DVDs, CDs, videocassettes, interactive media, CD-ROMs and kits that are available for 7-day check out are eligible for request; items that are on reserve or limited to building use are not.
Turn-around time
An item will be ready for checkout at the requested pickup location within 2 to 4 weekdays. To check out an item immediately, go to the Fine Arts Library and request it at the checkout desk.
To request an item
From the item’s entry in the library catalog, click the "Request" button, log in, choose to request the item and choose the location where you wish to check out the item.
To return AV materials
Deposit them in the special AV return boxes at the Fine Arts Library (outside the Fine Arts Library on the west side of DFA) or PCL (just inside the PCL building to the right of the doors), or preferably, hand them to staff at any checkout desk.
AV materials are easily damaged in book drops. Please deposit them ONLY in the designated return boxes. If you return an AV item in any other return and it is damaged, you will be charged for the damage.
