Spellberg will be joined by Dr. Desmond Lawler of the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering (Water Quality Engineering: Physical/Chemical Treatment Processes, Wiley, 2013), Dr. Huaiyin Li of the Departments of History and Asian Studies (Reinventing Modern China: Imagination and Authenticity in Chinese Historical Writing, University of Hawaii Press, 2014) and Ms. Allison Lowery of the Department of Theatre and Dance (Historical Wig Styling: Volumes 1 and 2, Focal Press, 2013). Faculty presenters will discuss their respective work and the relevance of their research to campus communities and beyond.
These presentation are the extension of a partnership between the Libraries and Hamilton Award sponsor the University Co-op. Since 2013, the Libraries have hosted an exhibition of posters provided by the Co-op featuring the annual Hamilton Award nominees in the University Federal Credit Union Student Learning Commons in the Perry-Castañeda Library in an effort to highlight the research and creative contributions of the UT community.
The event is free and open to the public, and presentations will be followed by a wine reception. Please RSVP at the following link if you plan to attend: https://utexas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3mmflkm9swsQySp
