"How To" Video

In these short videos, we'll give you some background that will help you understand what oral history is and how it may be used. We'll go over some considerations about equipment, the essentials of a signed permission form, a good labeling system, and a good relationship between the interviewee and the interviewer.

At the end of it, you should be ready to either conduct your first interview, or to take your interview collection to a new level.

We hope you find this work as rewarding and fulfilling as we have, at the U.S. Latino & Latina WWII Oral History Project. at the University of Texas at Austin. If you need release forms or want to read more about Oral History, visit the "How To" Kit.
