A species of grassland in the High Plains and the Trans-Pecos, this aster-like perennial blooms in late spring and throughout the summer. The common name "Tahoka daisy" is taken from the Panhandle town of Tahoka, near which seed of this annual was collected for the purposes of commercial cultivation.
