Victorian c. 1861 - 1900

Architecture was fast becoming a respected profession during the Victorian era, a period marked by revival styles ranging from Gothic to Queen Anne. During this time, Texans started seeing asymmetrical plans, different materials used in one building and elaborate ornamental detailing all for the first time.
