Republic/Antebellum c. 1835 - 1861

After the Republic of Texas was founded, European immigrants arrived and began establishing new towns. Not surprisingly, they brought their architectural specialties with them, which is why the Republic/Antebellum era is notable for both Old World-inspired construction and the dominance of the Greek Revival style.
