Join us for the 22nd Annual ¡A Viva Voz! Celebration of U.S. Latino/a Culture, hosted by the Benson Latin American Collection.

Special guest José María de León Hernández is a five-time Grammy award winner and recipient of the 2023 National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment of the Arts. Known as the “King of Brown Sound,” Little Joe helped forge the Tejano genre by blending soul, country, rock n’ roll, and Mexican regional sounds in both English and Spanish. As a child, he grew up working the cotton fields throughout Texas. Today, he maintains an accomplished career as a performer and community advocate.
