Using Indexes.

Articles that have appeared in magazines, journals, newspapers, and papers that have been published in conference proceedings can best be found with the help of an index.

An index describes the contents of many journals and gives you enough information to locate an article in a specific journal. Many electronic indexes will include full text access to articles included in the index.

There are many indexes covering a variety of disciplines and one of the biggest challenges is finding the right indexes for your topic.

1. Your search for articles begins on the UT Library Online homepage.

2. Look under the Finding Information heading for the Databases and Indexes to Articles link.
