Its a Fact, but how do I find it?

What is the world's busiest airport for passenger traffic?
What is the melting point of platinum?
Where can you look to find logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, and hyperbolic functions?

The Engineering Library has an extensive collection of general and technical reference materials that are very useful for finding factual information.  We have handbooks, databooks, encyclopedias, and dictionaries that can be used to find data, calculations, phase diagrams, etc.  Some of our most frequently used resources include the:
Metals Handbook
Handbook of Corrosion Data; Properties of Aluminum Alloys
Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology available in print in the Engineering Library and now online for UT Austin users through the Databases and Indexes to Articles Web page.

We also have a number of electronic reference resources, including Alloy Digest; Table of Integrals, Series and Products; IceNine Phase Diagrams; Dictionary of Chemical Names; and Thermochemical & Physical Properties (TAPP)  available in the Engineering Library  Sci/Tech Electronic Information Center (EIC).

Also remember to check out the Useful Reference Sites, Statistics and Demographics and Government Information resources listed on  UT Library Online for factual information available on the Web.
