What are Full-Text Journals

Full-text journals are journals available in an electronic format and accessible via the Internet.  Some full-text journals have print counterparts and some full-text journals are available only online.

How Do You Find Full-Text Journals?

The General Libraries' Journals Web page includes listings for full-text electronic journals available to UT Austin users, without personal, direct charges.

You will see information about  many of the electronic journals available to UT Austin users in UTNetCAT.  In the UTNetCAT example below for the Journal of Crystal Growth,  the Internet location for this journal is given as part of the CURRENT ISSUES information.

UTNetCAT includes information for many, but not all, of the full-text journals available to UT Austin users.  To determine whether a journal is available from an online source, use the Search for a full text Journal option on the library's Journals Web page.
