Digital Assets Discussion Group: Procedures

DLSD is in the process of creating written procedures on a variety of tasks related to digital assets and the Digital Assets Management System. These procedures are being developed based on current best practices in the field of digital reformatting and are being shared and discussed with the Digital Assets Discussion Group. Tasks that will be covered include:

Digital imaging of:
Transparencies (slides, black and white negatives)
Oversized materials (maps)
Digital reformatting of three-dimensional objects
Color and black and white photographs

Interaction with the Digital Assets Management System (DAMS)
Submitting collections for deposit
Creating and submitting metadata for the Metadata Registry

Currently, drafts of some procedures are available for review.
