The Digital Assets Discussion Group (DADG) is a forum for the discussion
of issues pertaining to the creation, distribution and long term preservation
of digital information by individuals and organizations at UT Austin.
This groups was started out of an effort to evaluate a particular piece
of image management software and through those discussions the participants
identified issues and areas of common concern that led to the formation
of this group.
We have grown over the past 2 years and welcome anyone in our community
who is involved in the creation and maintenance of digital material for
instruction and research to join the discussion.
DADG consists of groups that have been set up to deal with specific
areas of concern. These groups are: the Collections group; the Metadata
group; Intellectual Property group; and the Digitization group. You can
find out what each of these groups is working on by checking this site
for information.
