The University of Texas

The Classics Library primarily serves the needs of faculty, graduate students and upper-division majors in classics, archaeology, art history, philosophy, architecture and comparative literature, however, we are open to the entire university community as well as the general public, and welcome all users. You will need a valid UT ID, or courtesy borrowers' card to check out materials.

The Classics Library is an open and closed stack facility. The books on Archaeology, Art and Numismatics are kept in closed stacks down the corridor from the main library. Staff will gladly retrieve items from this room for you. Certain categories of materials, including reference books, are limited to library use only, but these items can be checked out for two hours. Please note that we do not have a photocopier on site.
