Data and Donuts Workshop @PCL: Intro to Data Visualization
Friday, October 6, 2017 - 3:00pm to 4:00pm
At the Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL) , PCL Learning Lab 1
Do you have data that you’re not sure how to use? Creating visualizations is a good way to ask questions of your data and to share your data with others. Visualizations can include everything from a simple chart to an interactive map and can be a powerful way to tell a story about your data. In this introductory workshop, we’ll examine what makes a good visualization and then go over best practices for working with your data. This class will introduce you to a number of free tools that you can use to create visualizations of your data. This class is intended for data visualization novices, and coding skills are not required.
