had charge of the overland mail line from San Antonio to El Paso. The town of Big Foot in Frio county is named
in his honor. He died January 7, 1899, and his remains rest in the State Cemetery at Austin.
Alonzo Millett was born in Bastrop county in 1845, and spent his boyhood days in that county and at Seguin, where he attended school. He had two brothers in school with him, and when the Civil War broke out the three Millett brothers were the first to volunteer.
