Hall (BS '50, MA '52) has formed a new Corporation with Jerry L. Putman. He "enjoys the newsletter (and) only wishes it had peoples' pictures." C. Clyde Hamblin (BS '50) is self-employed in Midland. Clyde kept a foreign exchange student this year — a boy from Hamburg, Germany. He says that it was very inter esting. Henry R. Hammans (BS '59, MA '63) after re ceiving his Master's Degree is living in Houston where he is a Geologist for Ham man Oil & Refining Co. Weldon W. Hammond, Jr. (BA '60) is working on his MA degree here at the University. John W. Hampton, Jr. (BS '53) is a Geologist and Oil Operator in Wichita Falls with of fices at 311 City National Bank Building. Capt. Kenneth J. Hancock (BS '49) received his MA degree in Geodesy-Photogramme try at Ohio State University. He is in the Air Force and is Geodetic Officer with the Mapping and Charting Squadron. Kenneth and his wife have two children. W. T. Hancock, Jr. (MA '29) is Vice Presi dent of the Kirby Petroleum Co. in Hous ton. William L. Hannum (B'S '40) lives in San An tonio. He is a Seismologist for Rogers Ex plorations, Inc. J. V. Hardwick (BS '40) is an Independent Geologist with offices in the Ezell Building in Midland. Miles Henry Hardy (BA '52) and wife have a daughter, Joni Kay, born February 13, 1963. Miles is a Geologist with the Texas High way Dept. in San Antonio. Louis H. Haring, Jr. (BS '38) has offices at 742 Milam Building in San Antonio. He is an Independent Geologist and Oil Operator. Jess L. Harkness, Jr. (BS '60) lives in Single ton, N.S.W., Australia where he is Party Chief Seismologist for the Petty Geophys ical Engineering Co. Jess plans to stay for 4 years and says that the climate is wonderful. J. L. (Bill) Harmon (BS '52) still lives in Abilene where he is Production Manager for Connally Oil Co., Inc. Robert E. Harpster (MA '56) lives in Sacra mento, Calif, where he is employed by the State of California, Department of Water Resources, as an Associate Engineer Ge ologist. Weldon J. Harrell (B'S '49) is an Independent Consulting Geologist in Graham. David H. Harrington (BS '51, MA '53) is now self-employed in Houston. Richard (Dick) Harris (BS '53, MA '57) and family had a fine rock-collecting vaca tion into the Appalachians topped off by an interesting visit to the famous Ducktown (Term. ) mines where they collected many beautiful specimens of copper ore, huge diopside crystals and pyrite cubes. Dick and Sandra have 3 sons. Dick is a Petrole um Geologist for the firm of Royce Mc- Crary and Associates in Houston. William H. Harris (MA '61) will be married this August to Miss Evelyn A. Hoffman of Cedarhurst, N.Y. Bill is then going to pur sue a course of study at the University of Miami leading to a Ph.D. in chemical oceanography. He is, at present, a geologist with the U. S. Geological Survey in Ra leigh, N. C. Hubert J. Harrison (BS '52, MA '57) works in Corpus Christi as an Independent Geol ogist. James R. Harrison (BS '52) and his wife, Helen (Greenhill) have 2 children, Ronny (9) and Susan Kay (6). After 3 years in the U. S. Air Force in North Da kota and Formosa, they are presently living in Alvin, Texas, where he is employed by Baroid Division of the National Lead Co. as an engineer. He reports that he is "work ing too hard for anyone, much less me!" George M. Harwell, Jr. (MA '59) is living in Corpus Christi where he is a Geologist for Shell Oil Co. He has a new daughter, Les lynn Grace, born last May. Robert S. Harvill, Jr. (BS '50) is Seismic Interpreter for Humble Oil & Refining Co. and enjoys living in Corpus Christi. H. Lee Harvard (BA '55), Consulting Geolo gist in Roswell, N.M., writes that he, Joanne, and the two boys, Jeffrey (2%) and Alan (10 mos.) are enjoying the new home. "The oil business continues to be good. I guess we'll stay in Roswell. Enjoyed seeing old friends at the A.A.P.G. conven tion in Houston — hope some will come out this way to visit." Donald E. Hauser (BA '50) works in San An tonio as a Geologist. Laurence H. Hawes (BS '51) is with Sinclair Oil & Gas Co. in Tyler, working as a Sub surface Geologist. He and wife, Joyce, and children, Scott and Dayna, are planning to move into a new house soon. Hugh Hay-Roe (MA '52, Ph.D. '58) is on a 2 year loan from Jersey Research in Tulsa to the International Petroleum Co. as Geolo gist in Talara, Peru. "It has been an inter esting 7 months here so far! The geology is truly fantastic. Two other UTX's here are John Tuohy and Eduardo Pflucker. We had our third child, first girl, in Novem ber, '62." Edward F. Hays (BS '51) is President of Pho togravity Co., Inc. in Bellaire. He has 2 girls, Ellen and Paula, ages 4 and 2 respec tively.
Charles L. Haynes (B'S '50) states "nothing new here" in Corpus Christi. He is Area Geologist for Standard Oil Co. of Texas. J. Don Haynes (BS '56) moved from Alice to Corpus Christi in April. He is a Geologist with White Sands Oil & Gas Corp. and has 3 children, Laurie (7), Joe (3), and Robin (1). Mack Hays, Jr. (BA '42) is living in Tyler with his wife, Gladys, and 2 children, Bob (16) and Margaret (12). Mack is an Inde pendent Oil Producer. Thomas F. Head (BS '40, MA '48) transferred from Terre Haute, Ind. to Jackson, Mich., Jan. 1, 1963. Tom is District Geolo gist with the Marathon Oil Co. and is work ing the N.E. United States. Clare W. Headington (MA '39) is Partner in the Headington Co. Oil Operators in Okla homa City. His offices are located at the First National Bank. John E. Hearn (BS '52) Geologist for the Aluminum Co. of America, and his wife, had a son, David Scott Hearn, August 30, 1962. Charles G. Heil (BS '51) is Geophysical Su pervisor for Continental Oil Co. in Midland. He claims "no news — no change." Arch H. Heim (BS '50) resides in Ridgefield, Conn. He is employed by 'Schlumberger Well Surveying Corp. as Research Engi neer. James H. Hellard (BS '43) is an Independent Oil Operator with offices at 2111 Alamo Na tional Bank Building in San Antonio. W. B. Hempkins (BS '58, MA '62) Research Geologist II at the University of Texas De fense Research Lab will leave in Setpember to work on his Ph.D. under W. C. Krum bein at Northwestern University. John D. Henderson (BS '37) works for Tex aco, Inc. in Wichita Falls, as a Geologist. Thomas B. Henderson (1953) is a Geologist for Humble Oil & Refining Co. in Corpus Christi. E. R. (Bob) Henningsen (BS '57) and his wife have a new son born last May (Samuel Craig). Bob is Assistant Professor of Ge ology at Tarleton State College. He reports that his other two sons, Biff and Curtis, are both interested in the Scouts. Larry R. Hensarling (B'S '56) is Senior Ge ologist for Sun Oil Co. in Lafayette, doing Exploration geology in the Upper Gulf Coast of Texas and southern Louisiana. Larry now has 4 children. Leo Hendricks (Ph.D. '42), Professor of Ge ology at Texas Christian University, is the director of NSF Summer Institute for high school Science and Math teachers this summer. His son is finishing his second year at Austin Theological Seminary. Charles W. Henslee (BS '51) is employed by Shamrock Oil & Gas Corp. in San Antonio as District Geologist. Harold T. Henslee (BS '50) has lived in Ama rillo for 13 years. The Henslees have 2 children and recently bought a new home.
