Equipment, Copying and Printing
Computer workstations are located in the reading room and on the mezzanine. Workstations provide access to online resources, the Internet, and Microsoft Office. These computers require UT EID to logon. The computer workstation by the circulation desk provides access to the UT Catalog and does not require UT EID.
Wireless Access is available to students, faculty and staff throughout most of the Architecture & Planning Library.
Printing is available from all of our stations. Two copy card operated printers, one black & white printer and one color, are located in the reading room.
Wireless Laptop Printing

The Architecture & Planning Library has two black & white copy card operated photocopiers located on the mezzanine level (stacks level 6). These are available for letter size (8.5” x 11”) and ledger size (11” x17”) reproductions.
You will need a copy card to make copies and print at the library. You may purchase a copy card from the dispenser located on the mezzanine level (stacks level 6).
- Blank card: $ 1.00 (you will need to add money to it before using it)
- The copy card machine accepts $1, $5, $10, $20 bills (sorry, no credit or debit cards) and cannot provide change
- Copy card machines accepting Bevo Bucks and credit cards are located at the Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL)
- B&W: $0.10 per page
- Color: $0.80 per page
- Microfilm or microfiche prints per sheet: $ 0.25 per page
- Letter size: $0.13 per page
- Ledger size: $0.20 per page

The Architecture & Planning Library has one viewer is located main stacks level (stack level 5) that includes a copy card operated printer.
Three large format flatbed scanners are available for use on the mezzanine level. School of Architecture students and staff can use the Charles server to transfer files. Instructions on how to access Charles from these stations are posted by the scanners.
Two portable scanning kits are available for 24 hour loan for School of Architecture students, staff and faculty. These kits can be requested at the circulation desk and include laptop, letter size scanner and optional filmstrip adaptor.
These machines have been made available to you courtesy of Dr. Mirka Beneš in response to the growing need for scanned images and text in the programs.
