The Library Catalog only uses Library of Congress Subject Headings to describe books.

Only the most specific subject to describe the entire book is used. You may have to use broader, narrower, or related terms to find useful books on your topic. Consult the latest Subject Headings list to find cross-references. This list also provides general call number classifications for subjects to assist you in browsing the shelves.

If you use the Keyword Search page, which is the new catalog's default search option, you can limit your search by library location.

Example:
Subject Keywords: plants AND Location: Architecture Library
(Retrieves books that have subject headings with the words plants AND whose shelving location is the Architecture and Planning Library)
