Goldwin Goldsmith, FAIA (1871-1962)
Educated at Columbia University and Atelier Duray, Paris, Goldsmith served as a draftsman in the office of McKim, Mead & White before forming a partnership with Van Vleck in 1897. After founding the Department of Architecture of the University of Kansas, Professor Goldsmith served as the Chairman of the Department of Architecture of The University of Texas from 1928 to 1935. This collection contains more than 75 drawings dating from his practice in New York with the firm of Van Vleck and Goldsmith.
