Ralph Cameron, FAIA (1892-1970)
Cameron received his architectural education in France, and in 1914 opened his own office in San Antonio. His more prominent projects are the Medical Arts Building (1926), the Federal Courthouse and Post Office, with consulting architect Paul Cret (1934) and the Spencer-Noble Residence (1929). He made ground-breaking contributions to the architectural profession in Texas with the establishment of the Texas Society of Architects, for which he served as the first president. The Cameron collection includes approximately 8,000 drawings in addition to archival material.
