University of Texas Libraries Collection Development Subject Policies



The following policies are organized by subject of collecting interest rather than by academic department. While many of the subjects for which statements appear are the main concern of one particular department, policy statements are also provided for some subjects in which the University offers no specific program of concentration. This approach sometimes means that not all the topics of concern to a particular department will be found in one subject statement. The intent has been to treat each topic in one place and to provide cross-references when needed.
