Graphic Elements

The Book Logo

The University of Texas Libraries Book logo should be used as a graphic device to support communication pieces. In addition to referencing both the spirit and content of the institution, the Book is a dynamic element that helps distinguish the Libraries from other peer institutions.

When reproduced in color the mark should always appear in the University of Texas Libraries signature color burnt orange, or black. No other color is acceptable, with the exception of black for use on faxes, memos and in newspapers, and white for reverses on dark backgrounds.

Spatial relationship

The Book should not be crowded by other elements. The space around the arc is equal to half the height (H) of the entire wordmark. No other elements should fall within this area.
