Coming in the fall semester of 2013, the lobby of the Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL) will feature a new all-in-one service desk where patrons will be able to check out books and other library items, get information and research help and complete all library transactions in the same place.

Construction of the new service point will begin on June 24 and continue throughout the summer, so interruptions and resulting noise and dust can be expected on the ground level of PCL during the process.

Efforts will be made to minimize the impact of the changes on patron activity, and earplugs will be available free of charge at the temporary service desk opposite the construction, where the Libraries will maintain the normal array of services.

Check regularly with the Libraries website for updates.
