Celebrating the Life

The University of Texas Libraries has launched a new service that will help bring the Libraries’ resources to users. Materials Retrieval allows patrons to request eligible resources to be retrieved from their regular location and delivered to the Libraries branch checkout desk of their choice for pickup.
Event: Research + Pizza features Joseph Potter discussing his research into women’s healthcare legislation. The event is free and open to the public. When: Noon, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 Where: The University of Texas at Austin, Perry-Castañeda Library, Room 2.500 (map).
Event: Science Study Break features Dr. Timothy Loving on the science of relationships. The event is free and open to the public. When: 6 p.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013 Where: Student Activity Center Auditorium (SAC 1.402) at The University of Texas at Austin.
In a pilot program made possible by the University of Texas Libraries, Library Instruction Services has awarded eight grants to faculty for creative incorporation of information literacy into the classroom.
