AUSTIN, Texas (March 5, 2010) – The University of Texas Libraries is pronouncing March 8-14 AudioBook Week with the launch of a new subscription to MyiLibrary Audio. The Libraries initial MyiLibrary Audio collection features more than 450 titles including popular general fiction, literary fiction, classic fiction, mystery, biography and creative non-fiction. The collection includes books read by award-winning audiobook performers, and allows users to browse for titles and hear a sample before virtual checkout.
AUSTIN, Texas (March 22, 2010) – The Fine Arts Library and the Center for Women's and Gender Studies will host an exhibition of photographs featuring acclaimed choreographer Deborah Hay. "The Rightness of Movement: Photographs of Deborah Hay by Phyllis Liedeker Finley" will be on display in the Fine Arts Library from March 26-April 8, and features 20 photographs taken of Hay in Austin over the course of fifteen years.
AUSTIN, Texas (March 26, 2010) — The David O. Nilsson Lecture in Contemporary Drama takes yet another wild turn this year with Austin Chronicle Arts Editor Robert Faires stepping in to reprise an excerpted version of his notable one-man take on Henry V. The performance – entitled "This is Not a Pipe" – will take place in the Capitol Room of the Blanton Museum of Art's Edgar A. Smith Building at 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 1. A reception will precede the event beginning at 4:30 pm.
 AUSTIN, Texas (March 28, 2010) — The eighth installment of the Benson Latin American Collection's annual ¡A Viva Voz! features Austin-born psychedelic Afro-Latin funk band Ocote Soul Sounds. The self-professed "coconut rockers" will lead a celebration of music and dance beginning at 7 pm on Thursday, April 8 at the Benson Latin American Collection in Sid Richardson Hall at The University of Texas at Austin.
