GENERAL LIBRARIES COLLECTION OVERVIEW: BOOKS

UT LIBRARIES 1997 NATIONAL RANKINGS
Here are the UT Libraries national rankings in terms of services and funding for library collections among the 110 research libraries surveyed last year by the Association of Research Libraries.

SPECIAL REGENTAL PURCHASES
The following are among items purchased for the General Libraries with special 1997/98 Regental funding. This funding has also allowed us to initiate the purchase of an additional 4,000 books covering all disciplines. Special funding for library collection enhancement will also be requested for 1998/99. The titles below are currently in process and will be available soon.

GENERAL LIBRARIES COLLECTION OVERVIEW: JOURNALS

It contains more than 1.4 million entries, ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester; those published from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts, written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. It represents the work of authors from over 1,000 North American graduate schools and European universities.

FEATURED FULL-TEXT DATABASE: LION (Literature Online)
