Celebrating the Life

AUSTIN, Texas (November 12, 2009) – A popular annual program to highlight and provide services of use to students in the final leg of the academic semester has returned to the University of Texas Libraries.

"Crunch Time" will return to the Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL) November 17-19, featuring giveaways, useful information materials and additional staff for assisting student inquiries.

As students face the final crunch of deadlines for assignments, research papers and in-class speeches and presentations, Reference and Information Services (RIS) will promote the availability of subject specialist consultations, Ask a Librarian IM and email services and in-person, drop-by assistance at the Information and Research Help Desk in the PCL and other Libraries locations across campus.

Students may visit PCL or a branch library regularly yet remain unaware of resources and services available to help them locate information needed for academic or recreational pursuits. “Crunch Time” will focus on making students aware of relevant services at point of need.
