Austin, Texas (April 4, 2005) - We heard you! We'll soon be opening a coffee shop in the Perry-Castañeda Library. The shop will offer strong coffee, tasty muffins, bagels and sandwiches, plus wireless access and extended hours of service.
But before we can open the shop, it needs a name. So we're holding a contest and the winning entry is worth $1,000.
The contest runs from Monday, April 4, 2005, through 5:00 PM, Monday, April 25, 2005. Students, faculty and staff at the University of Texas at Austin are all eligible to submit a name - one entry per person.
The entry submission form and additional information located at: www.lib.utexas.edu/coffeeshop/
One requirement: the name of the coffee shop must contain some sort of literary reference (e.g. Cup & Chaucer). Entries will be reviewed by a committee of students, faculty and staff. The winning entry will be announced on May 4, 2005.
So . . . get percolating . . . send us your name for your new coffee shop!
