What's New

Public Computers

The Chemistry Library has a limited number of workstations for the use of students, faculty, staff, and Courtesy Borrowers with valid UT EIDs. These machines are in high demand during peak periods.

UT EID Workstations
These stations contain SciFinder Scholar and Beilstein Crossfire and are restricted to current students, faculty and staff with valid UT EIDs. Courtesy Borrowers and guests may use their low-assurance EIDs to log on to these stations, but cannot access SciFinder. (Why not?)

Library Catalog Station
One station provides walk-up access to the library's online catalog and related service sites.

Wireless access to the campus network is available in the library and throughout Welch Hall. You must have a Wi-Fi compliant laptop and a valid UT EID to log on. For more information see the ITS Public Network page.

Workstation Use Policy

Printing

The Chemistry Library has a black and white printer that allows you to send print jobs from any of the library's workstations or your laptop. A library copy card is required to print. See the Printing & Copying page for details.
